FIND ADEN ELIZABETH II STAMPS AND POSTAL COLLECTIBLES FOR SALE

Queen Elizabeth II began her long reign of Britain in 1952, taking over from King George VI, and at first her rule included the Aden Protectorate in what is now Yemen. While previous Aden stamps had been denominated in rupees, annas, and pies (a carryover from the days when Aden used stamps from British India), under QEII Aden stamps were in shillings and cents.

Aden stamps from this era include the common design stamp in honor of Elizabeth’s coronation, among several others. In 1965 Aden became part of a new state, South Arabia.
