FIND BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA CROAT STAMPS AND POSTAL COLLECTIBLES FOR SALE

The Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia began issuing its own stamps, inscribed Republika Bosna i Hercegovina and Hrvatska zajednica Herceg Bosna, in 1993. (Other stamps have also included the phrase Hrvatska Republika.) Although this entity (known in English as Herzeg-Bosnia) only existed until 1994, stamp issues for the area have continued under its new form after the Washington Accords of 1994 that established the modern areas of control in the country.

In 1994, Herzeg-Bosnia agreed to form the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This Croat-administered area of the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina has a regular postage stamp program ever since. Postage stamps all use the inscription Bosna i Hercegovina, with other phrases cropping up irregularly.

The center of administration for this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the city of Mostar. (The other part of the country, the Serb-administered Republika Srpska, is headquartered in Banja Luka.)
