FIND BERMUDA GEORGE VI STAMPS AND POSTAL COLLECTIBLES FOR SALE

King George VI, taking over the British crown (and the Bermuda territory) after the brief rule and abdication of Edward VIII in 1936, was king from 1936 until 1952. The first Bermuda stamps featuring a likeness of King George V were common design types honoring his coronation, issued in 1937 in several designs and colors. Overprints with a 1/2 penny surcharge from 1940 exist for the 1 penny stamp.

A 1949 Bermuda stamp honoring the Perot Provisional, an early quasi-official stamp used in Bermuda in 1848, also showed George VI.

After George VI, Elizabeth II became queen of England and oversaw many significant changes to Bermuda postal history. To add George V Bermuda stamps to your collection, check out the current selection of stamps for sale. The listings are updated frequently.
