King George V of Britain oversaw the territory of Bermuda during his reign from 1910 until 1936. During that time, George V appeared on several stamps, unlike his predecessor Edward VII, who did not appear on a Bermuda postage stamp.
George V’s first appearance on Bermuda postage stamps came in 1910, on stamps valued 2 shillings and higher. Many, but not all, subsequent Bermuda stamps issued during his reign showed images of the king. War tax stamps of 1918 did not show the king.
George V’s immediate successor, Edward VIII, only ruled for a matter of months and did not see any postage stamps issued. His successor, George VI, however, did.
