Britain’s King Edward VII did not appear on any Bermuda postage stamps during his 1901-1910 reign, a rather unusual situation for a British monarch of the time. Unlike his predecessor Queen Victoria, and his successor King George V, the stamps of King Edward VII issued in Bermuda showed only a local Bermuda scene.
The twelve stamps released in Bermuda during Edward VII’s time showed a dry dock, and came in different colors for different values. One of these stamps, or perhaps a complete set, is a vital part of many philatelists’ Bermuda stamp collections. Browse our current selection here.
