Barbados used its own stamps featuring portraits of Queen Victoria while it was a British colony in the 1800s. In this, Barbados was similar to most other British territories of the 1800s, including the various Australian territories, the Bahamas, and many others.
Queen Victoria died in 1901, and her successor King Edward VII took over as ruler and as the face on Barbados postage stamps.
