King Edward VII ruled England and his kingdom issued the postage stamps of Barbados during his reign from 1901-1910. Like the Barbadian Victoria stamps before him, Edward VII’s Barbados stamps are beloved by collectors today who concentrate on either British or Caribbean stamps in general.
During Edward VII’s reign, Barbados also issued its first semi-postal “relief fund” stamps, to raise money for victims of a hurricane that had hit Jamaica. This is perhaps the most notable Barbados stamp from Edward VII’s time, as there were but few other stamps made during the few years.
