FIND US WREATH CENT COINS FOR SALE

The wreath cent, minted in 1793 by the United States, replaced the chain cent of the same year and sought to address public criticism of that one-cent coin. The figure of Liberty on the obverse was redesigned, and the chain links on the reverse were changed to a wreath around the words ONE CENT and the fractional representation 1/100.

Collectors often buy and sell copies of wreath cent coins of various conditions in the marketplace. Check the current listings to see what is available now for this short-lived but important copper coin from America’s early history. Later in 1793, the U.S. again designed a new large cent, the Liberty cap penny.
