Following the successful 50 state quarters project for the United States‘ George Washington quarter reverse design, a new project for the U.S. quarter was begun in 2010, extending until the year 2012 and possibly beyond. These America the Beautiful quarters show national parks or national sites on the reverse; five different sites are released each year.
