FIND WALLIS AND FUTUNA COINS FOR SALE

Despite the fact that the small French island territory of Wallis and Futuna does not use its own coins — it uses the CFP franc, which is also used in New Caledonia and French Polynesia — there are in fact collectible Wallis and Futuna coins available for interested collectors. They just aren’t official or legal tender coins.

In 2011, a fantasy set of six coins was issued, inscribed in French as “WALLIS ET FUTUNA”. The metallic and well-designed coins come in six different denominations, and feature various natural elements found around the several islands and islets that make up Wallis and Futuna.

Denominations of Wallis and Futuna coins

Francs: 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500

Wallis and Futuna coins are usually sold loose and individually, though an occasional complete set may be offered by a seller from time to time. In the absence of official Wallis and Futuna coinage, collectors are left to concentrate on these 2011 fantasy issues… fortunately, they are well-made and they look nice in a collection. And they are affordable, too!
