Imperator Otho Caesar Augustus, known as Otho for short, took over as Roman emperor in January 69 after murdering Galba, who had only been reigning for seven months following the suicide of Nero. Otho, like his successor Vitellius, managed to produce some coins, copies of which come and go occasionally in the online marketplace in various conditions and for various prices.
