Hey there, folks. Stanley here, your resident coin collector and time-travel enthusiast. Yesterday, I had a wild ride in my trusty time machine, and to be honest, I’m still feeling a little blank about the whole thing. But I’ll try my best to recount what happened and make sense of it all.
As you know, my time machine is a one-of-a-kind invention that allows me to travel back in time and collect coins before they become valuable. It’s a nerdy hobby, but it’s also lucrative. So, I decided to take a trip back to Somalia in 1995, during the height of the country’s civil war.
Now, you might be wondering why I chose Somalia, of all places. Well, the country was in utter turmoil, and its currency was in a state of disarray. In other words, it was the perfect opportunity to collect some rare and valuable coins.

After setting my time machine, I arrived in the small coastal town of Berbera, located on the Gulf of Aden. It was a hot, dusty place, but I was prepared for it. As soon as I stepped out of the machine, I saw that it was a far cry from the clean, sanitized world of present day Canada.
I explored the town for a while, taking in the sights and sounds of a country at war. It was chaotic, to say the least. The streets were filled with rubble and debris, and the people looked worn down and defeated.
But I wanted to interact with them. So as a way to make some spare change, I decided to play some music. I brought along my trusty guitar and sang a rendition of “Knock Three Times” by Tony Orlando and Dawn. I wasn’t expecting much of a response, but to my surprise, I attracted quite a crowd. The locals seemed to enjoy my music, and I did indeed make a little bit of money from it.

After spending a few days in Berbera, I returned to my time machine and set it to take me back to the present day. The journey was smooth, and I arrived back in my own time without incident.
Now, as for the Somalia coins I collected, I’m still undecided about what to do with them. As an eBay seller, I could easily auction them off for a hefty sum. But to be honest, I’m not sure I feel right about it. They mean so much to me, I might just keep them.
Anyway, thanks for reading, folks. I hope you enjoyed my little tale of time travel and coin collecting. Until next time, keep on collecting, and remember to appreciate the present day, when the world is full of great Somalia collectible coins.
