Hey guys, I’m Stanley, a coin collector from Canada, and I built a time machine to travel back in time to collect coins. Today, I feel a bit down since my wife Harriet and I had a wee argument about my hobby. She’s been a bit miffed lately. She thinks I’m not giving her enough attention and that I’m putting my coin collection hobby ahead of our relationship. I get where she’s coming from, but I’m just really passionate about collecting coins, you know? I mean, it’s not like I’m ignoring her on purpose. We’re trying to work it out, but it’s not always easy, you know what I mean?

Anyway, let me share my recent adventure in Congo-Kinshasa, or DRC, back in 1965. I’d been to Uganda and Tanzania, but I didn’t have any coins from Congo-Kinshasa, so I was excited to go there.
After using the time machine, I found myself in Kinshasa, the capital city of the DRC. It was a bit chaotic with lots of people and vehicles on the roads. The weather was hot and humid, which made me sweat a lot. Nothing new there. The locals were friendly but seemed a bit scared and unsure of what was happening.
To get some coins, I decided to do some singing. I’ve done it lots of times before, and I can often get donations from passersby. Surprisingly, people gathered, and they loved my performance. They threw coins at me, and I collected some great coins, including a 1965 10 Francs coin featuring President Joseph Kasa-Vubu.

After collecting enough coins, I got in the time machine and headed back to the present. I decided to trade some with a collector and keep the rest. It was an exciting and fruitful trip.
Overall, it wasn’t easy navigating Congo-Kinshasa, but my time machine helped me collect coins I wouldn’t have found otherwise. If you’re a coin collector, I recommend collecting Congo-Kinshasa coins. Trust me, they’re worth it.
