Samoa (sometimes called Western Samoa, and not to be confused with the island of American Samoa) has been issuing banknotes since 1985. Samoa’s banknotes have lovely, sweeping designs, depicting the culture and life of the people of Samoa.
Samoan banknotes come in a variety of denominations, using the currency unit tala. (The tala is divided into 100 sene, but there have been no banknotes in sene.) Values range from 2 to 100 tala.
Samoan banknotes can easily be found for sale, and sometimes there are full sets and other special types of offers available. Check the current selection in this section and come back often to see the newest Samoa banknotes for sale.
