The Hutt River Province is a small section of Western Australia that seceded from Australia in 1970 and printed banknotes in 1974. Hutt River Province was started by Leonard George Casley after a dispute with the government, although the micronation is not recognized by any generally-recognized modern state.
The banknotes of the Hutt River Province came in 5 denominations of the Hutt River Dollar. In addition to collectible bills, Hutt River Province has issued stamps and coins, and passports (and citizenship) are available by application.
Many collectors enjoy having some Hutt River Province banknotes in their collections (especially, of course, a complete set of notes). Check the current listings for what’s available now.
