Hey there, folks. Stanley here. If you’re new to my blog, I’m a coin collector who travels back in time using my homemade time machine to get my hands on some rare coins. Today, I want to share with you my latest adventure in Laos.
Now, I’ve had some good luck selling Laos coins on eBay before, so I figured it was time to go back and get some more. My wife, Harriet, thinks I’m crazy, but I know what I’m doing. I expected to find the coins by simply getting them in change from buying something. It sounded simple enough, but you never know what can happen when time traveling.

Before my trip, I had some trouble with my time machine. It started smoking and making strange noises, and I was afraid it was going to blow up on me. I was about to abandon my plans, but I decided to give it one more shot. I made some adjustments and prayed it would work. And, to my relief, it did.
The town I ended up in is called Muang Xay. It’s a small village nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains. I was surprised to find that it was much cooler than I expected, with a light breeze blowing through the narrow streets. It was a refreshing change from the hot, humid weather I experienced in my previous travels.

My quest for Laos coins took me about 6 hours. I tried getting them from several different stores, but every time, I came up empty-handed. It was nerve-wracking, to say the least. I felt like I was on a mission impossible.
But, as luck would have it, I finally found what I was looking for in a small convenience store. I bought a bag of chips and a bottle of water and received a handful of change. And, wouldn’t you know it, there were two Laos coins in there! I couldn’t believe my luck.
I had initially planned to keep the coins for my collection, but when I got back home, I decided to sell them on eBay instead. I started the auction with a minimum bid of $32, and by the end, I got 6 bids. But, to be honest, I felt a little disappointed. I realized that the thrill for me wasn’t just in selling the coins but in the adventure of finding them.
